Im having the same problem, but just whit the TV Series Plugin, in my Videos movies play just fine.

I solve temporary the problem, just found that using AC3 Filter for audio in video playback in MP-tv series cause the problem.
So i change to Core MPEG-2 ore something like that an prblem solved.

I read through this thread and switched to EVR in DirectShow Filter Control, switched off 'use external player' and now I can play all files in MP without a problem.

I am using a Radeon 9250 based card which states is DirectX 9 compatible on AMD's site but I wonder if it really is...
