I think this has got me before but there was a bug with something not being initialized properly and ended up as port 0 and I thought we fixed that...

@mm1352000 does this ring any bells?
No, doesn't ring any bells... but I'm really not that knowledgeable with multi-seat stuff.
I do think it is important to set the streaming server IP address (ie. don't use "(auto)"), but I am not aware of any tricks with the port.

Well, unfortunately, when the system was woken from S3 this morning, the problem was back :(

I shall have a play later and see what I can find.

    Hi there,

What was the port set to before you changed it, and what have you changed it to?

    Post your logs again....

Well things seem to have settled down a bit. I now have it set to port 556 and set the IP address manually as suggested by mm.

I am getting problems with no tuners being available after standby now, but have put a 2 second delay in tuner detection and will keep an eye on it (it is a new tuner, so I am still learning its idiosyncrasies).

I have also fixed the permissions on MediaPortal.xml (set the user to full control). This had happened lots with MP1.3.0a, so I wonder if it is a bug?

    Thanks all

    @jameson_uk and @Jay_UK I spoke to soon.

The UNABLE TO PLAY:confused:TREAM problem has come back!

Logs attached (The server has a whole load of errors that appear to be because of the generic keyboard for some reason). Ignore the MP3 jack johnston errors on the client, I am yet to fix my music database after installing the new server.

    Thanks

And I guess bumping the port will work again? Will see if I can find the old thread where someone else had this issue

    Thanks mate.

Yes, I dropped the port by 1 and that worked this time (so it doesn't matter what the port is, as long as it changes!)

I have had a fairly detailed search, but not found much yet.

I saw on this thread (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...access-to-tv-server.108407/page-2#post-870675), on Post number 13, that someone managed to do a repair on their TV Server setup by running the "package-tvengine" setup file and selecting repair. I wonder whether this might be a useful thing to try on my system? If so, where might I find (or get hold of) the package-tvengine setup file?
