Those of you which use an analog card and get this issue, should check if the TV-Card offers "hardware mpeg2 encoding".
If it does not, then it is a software-encoding card and you miss the required encoding codec.

Again, this does just apply to analog cards!

I have the same problem, it's a brand new win 7 x86 installation with just mediaportal installed.
Win7 is NOT SUPPORTED.
Vista + TV-Pack is NOT SUPPORTED.

Support for both will start with MediaPortal 1.1.0.

btw. i can not confirm this issue on dvb-s, -s2, -t here.

Ok, sorry I did know that.

For info, seem to have got round it by loading in 1.0.1 then scanning. Then updating to 1.0.2 but still on first couple of hours...... defintely better though.

It seems to be that this getting worse all the time. Most of those new topics are related to this same issue. For me it's a good news because I would like to get this fixed asap =) I have tested now all posible scenarios (update, clean install, different versions etc) Only thing what I haven't done is Vista re-installation...

it appears i have the same issue, this is from my tv.log from tv server 1.0.2. Using a terratec cinergy dvb-c card. It doesn't happen on all channels dough but a lot of them don't work.

I noticed it was always the same channel that doesn't work. So i uninstalled tv server, deleted all the channels and reinstalled tv server, new channel scan and now these channels work :) .

    And now the bad news.

Some other channels don't work . And always the same channels after a rescan.

Another thing i noticed when scanning, when you do a complete new can it shouldn't updated channels. (because you can't update channels on a first scan, they are all new).

    Example
    1. 6 new 0 updates
    2. 12 new 0 updates
    3. 8 new 6 updates <- why update

So my guess is that it up updates a previously found channel to a wrong transponder. ( don't know how to explain but thing you get the point ).

Since I don't know what log is relevant, I added all the logs after having the Graph error a couple of times about 5 minutes before posting this. Hope these help to find a solution to this problem.

Glad I found this thread - didn't find it before I reported a similar set of symptoms in another thread.

Typically, I see "cannot start stream" or similar error message from MyTV; For The Record also gives errors when I try to watch live TV. I have also seen fairly random effects like not being able to tune a channel, but trying to turn on TV some time later works. What I have not checked is whether I was trying the same channel each time and it could be that all except a few channels were not working; sometimes I struck lucky and picked a channel that was on the "working" MUX (DVB-T here). Sometimes MP hangs altogether and needs killing via Task Manager.

Couple of other effects that might be related - sometimes I can try selecting a channel and it actually ends up with a different one (but have not analysed whether what is shown always comes from the same MUX), and I cannot scan any channels on one of my 6 local MUXes, although a DVB-T TV fed from the same antenna distribution amplifier works fine. I do find all channels on the other 5 MUXes.

I am currently using 1.0.2, but seen similar symptoms with 1.0.1; running XP sp3. Would dearly like to get a copy of 1.0.0, tune with that, and then upgrade. Maybe that's why only a relatively small number of users are reporting problems? All the "old-timers" are running upgrades from an earlier version and it's only the new boys who are getting caught?

I would like to avice everyone to test MediaPortal 1.0.2 without any community plugins or skins.
If it comes down to a communityplugin which "breaks" you setup, then please refer to the related developer for support.

    :D

    Hi,

I'm having PMT timeouts now and then, with a Terratec Cinergy C (with CI interface + Alphacrypt). I'm very willing to solve this problem, because it's the only thing that makes the TV part not completely woman-proof :)
I've only got IRSS as plugin.

If you guys need logs or something, I can post them later. However, I'm getting the same kind of PMT timeout errors (with debug mode enabled).

Using MediaPortal 1.0.2 "Vanilla" also creates the Graph errors. As little as possible plugins enabled and no additional plugins installed. Blue3wide skin used.

I guess my logs did not give any relevant information?

I also see the problem with no plugins (not even native MP plugins) enabled. Just a vanilla out-of-the-box installation. Install, scan, configure EPG, try to view TV. Also, DVB-T only, no analogue.
