I would like to req a feature. Unrar support like in XBMC. In XBMC you can just select a .rar file and access the media-file contained and play it away. Would this be possible in Media Portal too?

I'd really like this as well!

As a workaround you can make MyProgram start a directory browse and start VLC with RAR-files, it works for me to just play the files.

Oh yes, it works! You have to make a dir browser and start a bat-file with this content:

"C:\program files\winrar\unrar.exe" p -inul %1 | "C:\program files\mplayer\mplayer.exe" -fs -

i think its a great idea with support for .rar .001 in media portal
without it its to much work to urar all the series or movies i se
If this comes to media portal i can stop using my xbox ,
