Update MySQL 5.1 to latest 5.6 version (1 Viewer)

@Sebastiii: I tried to upgrade my default MP 1.4.0 installation including MySQL 5.1 to the latest version of the topicstart. MySQL 5.6 should be automaticly downloaded/installed if MySQL 5.1 is found right? Well, it's not doing that. It's just doing a regular update to MP 1.5.0 PR. Version 5.6 is not installed on my system at all..

Do you have any idea? Wich log(s) do you need?

Hi,

It look for installed MySQL 5.1 yes, if it didn't upgrade then maybe because it's not fully MySQL version that comes from Official Installer (so like manual install of MySQL for ex).
Or something is not working

All log you can find could be nice

Sorry ,but for me it does not work.(The installer stops when installing LAV)

That's strange, LAV shoudn't not be related to MySQL.
Can you screenshot where it failed ?

I just try installer on Win 8.1 for testing and all goes to end

So, I've tried your installer again.
Now it runs to the end, but no update to MySQL 5.6.(Is a restart required?)
The LAF issue was most likely a network problem (my openvpn tunnel).
Got my logs and a small film about the installation added.

@Sebastiii: Logs are gone, I'm sory.. But finally I was able to install this build as a clean installation inlcuding MySQL 5.6, but MP was still using MP 5.1, because after I removed MySQL 5.1, MP wasn't working anymore.. Finally I did a clean installation of MP 1.5.0 PR, and told the program that an other version of MySQL was installed allready, and after doing that it is using MySQL 5.6 now..

I was happy that I had made a backup of all my MP related files (copy/paste), because even for a prolonged MP user, doing a fresh installation of MP including skins/plugins is a hell of a job..
