Does this need more testing and if yes what needs to be tested (standard installation is enough?)

If this had changed to innoDB then all database interactions really need testing. I think that at least xmltv grabbing is broken ?

What has actually been tested?

Off the top of my head this all needs testing (basically test every button and option in setup took)

Dvb EPG, searching EPG
adding, changing, canceling and deleting schedules
Xmltv
Any other plugin that connects to the database
Recorded tv - browsing, importing
Settings - eg weekend / recording paths
Scanning - adding cards, disabling cards, dvb-t/c/s scanning (including different scan types)
Channels - adding (including manually) updating, deleting, merging, adding to / removing from groups (and same goes for radio), allocating to cards
IPTV
Setup -manual control, stress test

I've been running with MySQL 5.6 for at least 3 months now.

- DVB EPG & Searching=
- I've made a lot of recordings, which all went fine
- I've been running in combination with TvWishList, and that also works as expected
- I've used BackupSettings plugin to make backups without issues
- I've got all my channels and created a group with some channels in it
- Manual control fails, but that never worked for me.

I use also MySQL 5.6.12 with MP since 3/4 months
no big error, error are only related to my change ( trick)

Yes but using it how you use TV server is not testing it...

The issue is not so much MySql 5.6 but changing the database engine to innodb.
