There's a beta version here https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/index.php?threads/125677/

What functionality is missing?

When viewing recordings section they all display in alphabetical order. So if you have a lot of the same program all you get is the name of the program and then you have no idea which one was on earliest etc. It would be good to be able to view these in date order and have programs listed in separate folders.

Be able to delete recordings after you have watched them, cancel schedules etc.

Also some different skins would be nice such as a dark theme.

    Hi all!

just a short question, as i didn't find the info in the manuals: Is it possible to run the TVSeries/Moving Pictures Plugin on a HTPC-Server-Only Machine? If yes i would cindly ask for a link with further information. Thanks in advance!!

    Hey Hotkey,

Afaik you need to run MP extension installer, which comes along with the MP installation.
I had the same concern in the past, but eversince my server goes to S4 sleep, the logical consequence for was to run Moving Pictures on the local machine instead of the server and to use power control to wake the server.

    Best regards Fafnir

Can MPExteneded and WebMediaPortal be installed on different machines in the same network? The reason I ask is because I already have a dedicated IIS Server as well as a dedicated machine for MP TV-Server. And I suppose MPExtended has to be installed on the same machine as MP TV-Server but can WebMediaPortal access MPExtended from another machine?

hi guys,... im really sorry but im having absolutely no luck with this which is a shame. must be doing something real obvious wrong but I cant for the life of me work it out. the page loads fine, and reads the databases etc. shows thumbnails etc etc. it just wont play,.. tried numerous ways using the different players or the link for the local external player which gives me this: http://localhost:8080/Stream/Movie?item=24&transcoder=Direct&continuationId=playlist-36560

all come up with the an error,.. the flash one is probably the most useful which just says that the video cannot be found.

All videos in WebMP have a bullet point above the play link which says inaccessible. The files are all located on a NAS drive which is mapped to F: on my computer. Works fine for MP, just not for the web version, local or external :( any ideas?

Have you configured the NAS to allow access to the user account that the WebMP server process is running on?

If I remember right, mapped network drives aren't supported, use UNC instead in your databases.
When picking library locations in Mediaportal Configuration (for TVSeries, Moving Pictures, etc), don't browse to the mapped drive; instead browse to folder locations through the "network" path. Like this "\\MyNAS\TV-Series\"

    Happy hacking ;)
