I did a fresh installed based on RC2 + the latest SVN. I will try again when I come home tonight, get back to you with more log/details if the problems still exist.

Thank you for replying in a hurry... and in a nice manner! :D

Thought I would let you know that it all works now. Heres the steps that did it for me (if anyone ever experiences the same ugly messages...):

    1. Uninstall MediaPortal
    2. Uninstall TVServer Client (if you use TVServer)
    3. Manually delete all setting files in your standard MediaPortal directory
    4. Reinstall MediaPortal
    5. Install the latest SVN
    6. Reinstall TVServer Client (if you use TVServer)
    7. Install this driver following the instructions provided

Works just great! I can keep the Antec VFD Software in Automatic mode, and works just flawless with this plugin. Have tested around a bit, still no odd behaviour.

    :D

Just one problem I am facing: The LCD works as it should, however I lose the function of my remote, once the LCD is running in mediaportal.

If you actually read the posts that go along with the posting of the driver versions, you would know that I point out the fact that this would happen while I try to fix a few kinks in the SoundGraph detection code...

:sorry: cybrmage, have been following this thread for quite some time and have simply forgot about that. Again thank you very much for the great work!! :D

sorry post the wrong log  this is the new version

Are you using a precompiled snapshot of RC2?
    The configuration log shows
    Code:
    2007-09-20 16:29:04.234375 [Debug][Config Main]: ExternalDisplay.iMONLCDg constructor - called
that you are still using an old version of the driver.... (the last few versions of the driver actually indicate the version of the driver that is being used)
If you are compiling your own, did you copy the iMONLCDG.cs file from the driver archive to your source directory?
The MediaPortal log indicated that the ExternalDisplay is not loading ANY display drivers... did you try it with the 0.2.3RC2 release?

    Hi Cybrmage!

You refer in the install.txt, in number 7, that the file *_icons.xml would be copied with the other two files into Mediaportal. But I can't find that file in your "daily file".
    Where can I find it?

I also mention is the forum (several times now) that I no longer include it because it is NOT NEEDED...
If you want the file so that you can create your own icons, run configure, enable Custom Large Icons, and run MediaPortal... The file will be created for you in your MediaPortal directory.

:sorry: cybrmage, have been following this thread for quite some time and have simply forgot about that. Again thank you very much for the great work!! :D

    no problem... your welcome

    Hi!

    I use this Snapshot
    MediaPortal SVN-Snapshot: 09-18-2007 01-02h - Revision:15947

    I use this driver ??
    Dateityp: zip iMONLCDg_09_19_2007B.zip

If you are compiling your own
    i do not

Tomorrow I will try the release RC2 without any SVN. I am not sure whether I has already tried.

Then you have not installed the driver correctly... the 09_19_2007B driver displays
    Code:
    2007-09-20 12:53:27.703125 [Debug] [ExternalDisplay]: iMONLCDg Driver - v09_19_2007B
    2007-09-20 12:53:27.718750  [Debug] [ExternalDisplay]: IDisplay(API) iMONLCDg.Setup() called

Are you installing the driver then installing the SVN update??? The driver needs to be installed last, the SVN update reinstalls the driver that is currently in SVN (last updated on Sept 4)

    Hi!

First, thanks cybemage for your interest in this topic, we couldn't manage without you.

Second, even if this isn't the right forum, does anyone have an "excellent" Imon pad remote config file for MP that they could send over? I haven't found anyone "excellent" yet.

    Thanks! Have a nice day!

    Naich and Tobcro!

Are your problems with the remote hangings solved? I have the same problem.
I have the original RC2, and no SVN.

If YES: How did you do/install?
    If NO:
Cybrmage, what ca be "wrong configured" when the imon restarts? The problem seams to reoccur every time.
My LCD is working, but the remote stops working, the only button I can use is the green "app exit".

    Hi everybody!

I'm very new at this forum, because I just installed MediaPortal for the first time, so my questions might be a bit "to fast".
Now I disabled the remote, but MP "hangs" anyway, an that's after a couple of seconds that "the second" imon icon lights up. After a couple of minutes, it's OK again, then it "hangs" again. Is it really the imon-drv:s that causes this problem?
