@Sebastiii this post will have the logs I mentioned on IRC

Okay, first off this HTPC (main HTPC) is about 3 years old and has not changed hardware configuration since day 1. AMD A6-6400, 8GB RAM on board HDMI and a 128GB SSD.
First it ran Win 7, then it ran Win 8, only to be upgraded to 8.1 shortly there after. After about a year I installed Win 10 Preview, and then finally upgrading to Win 10 retail about 2 weeks ago.
While running Win 7 had MP 1.9 and 1.10 running just fine. While running 8/8.1 it had 1.10 and 1.11 running just fine. While running Win 10 Preview it had MP 1.11 and 1.12 Pre-Release running just fine.

Two weeks ago I wipe the drive and install a fresh copy of Windows 10 and MP 1.13. I did the same exact thing with my other 3 HTPCs, also running AMD APUs (A6-5400, not the 6400) with on board HDMI and 8GB RAM. The other HTPCs went from Win 8 with MP 1.10 straight to Win 10 with MP 1.13. As those HTPCs are not used by me alone they did not get upgraded and tested out Pre Releases like my main HTPC. The other three follow a "If it's not broke dont fix it" ideology.

I have never used any codecs other than LAV since these have been built. In the last 4 years I have used nothing but LAV. No other codecs have ever been installed on any of these systems not to mention they all got wiped fresh.

While all HTPC are more sluggish than they used to be and are experiencing slight issues that can be moved past, my main HTPC is not so lucky. It is more sluggish than the others, so bad that it takes anywhere from 15-90 seconds to show the list after leaving playback. Does not matter if the list is only 24 episodes in MP-TVSeries or if it is my "All Movies" list of 4,614 movies. The speed is about the same. What worse is that I have to try and play a video multiple times (sometimes once, other times I tried 20 or so times and it never played) always getting a Unable to Play error.

I upgraded to 1.14 Pre and it seemed to get worse.

I uninstalled 1.14 and installed 1.11 and the sluggishness seemed to have all but evaporated, but the not able to play videos problem is still there. Also since I installed 1.11 I no longer have the TV plugin to watch my live TV.

Also, while on 1.14 MP would just end itself. No errors, just a nice shut down of the application.

The logs included are from my main HTPC and the level is set to debug, but I have not found very much useful info in the logs, but to be fair I suck big-time at reading logs.

ANY help in these matters would be greatly appreciated.

Okay, it just shut itself down again, but I have been downgraded to 1.11, so the closing of the app is not due to 1.14. Logs included.

With my amateur knowledge, I would say the shutting down of the app is caused by some sort of skin settings getting confused with all the upgrades and downgrades.

Can you try 1.13 with deactivted Plugins? Your Error from 1.11 shows a Problem with the Minidisplay Plugin.
There are also Errors like "out of Memory". With 8GB of Ram this should not a Problem.

So, disable all Plugins you not need and try again.
You an also take a look in the Taskmanager, maybe you see there what takes your Memory.

    EDIT:
The Logs show more Out of Memory Errors in combination with Direct3D.

Please check your Graphic Drivers too.

Please use the Watchdog to collect log files. Option 3 (export existing...). When you do this, we get the Windows application event log to look at, and that usually tells us what causes the CTD.

Need to test more, but it seems:

CTD - Fixed by reconfirming my skin settings. (If it happens again, @mm1352000 I will grab the watchdog logs)

Unable to play videos - Fixed by excluding MP from Windows Defender

Sluggishness - Fixed by excluding MP from Windows Defender

    UPDATE:

CTD - Did it again, watchdog logs included

Unable to play videos - Doing it again.

Sluggishness - Fixed by excluding MP from Windows Defender - CONFIRMED (Though I do believe my massive collection is not helping the matter)

Also, i went back and upgraded to 1.14 Pre and included it's install log in case it holds any goodies.

P.S. - Still cant get the TV plugin back :(

You've got multiple causes there. From today:

    1. MP-TVSeries plugin.

    These are pretty random.
A quick forum and google search for the error code in the second case (80131506) doesn't turn up any really coherent responses.
I certainly agree with Brudertac's recommendation to try disabling all plugins and see if the problem persists. Maybe it's more convenient to use the Watchdog with option 1 (which automatically disables all plugins) to start MediaPortal, and then see if you can play any videos. If you can, you'll know you have a plugin problem on your hands. Then it's just a matter of process of elimination to find out which plugin(s) are causing problems.

Also, i went back and upgraded to 1.14 Pre...
Please decide which version you're going to use and stick with it. Chopping and changing makes it harder to help you.

P.S. - Still cant get the TV plugin back :(
Looks like the installation options you chose have resulted in the plugin not being installed. There's no easy way to get it back now without reinstalling and choosing the correct options during installation.

P.S. Looks like you've got various Windows Updates failing to install as well:
"2/17/2016 10:18:53 PM";"Microsoft-Windows-WindowsUpdateClient";"(1)";"Error";"Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80070002: Xbox.";"20"
    etc.

Soooooooo, basically this PC is a $%#@ing mess. Got it. ;)

Man oh man. This is bad. I was doing the hopping around on versions because I was initially thinking it was 1.13 that was the problem. I was told to go to 1.14 pre as 1.13 does have issues. Problems seemed to get worse so i went back to 1.11 before my troubles began. I went to 1.14 because I want to be up to date and 1.13 has issues. I am wanting to stay 1.14 Pre for now.

As for the TV Plugin, i did go back to reinstall and it never asked me if i wanted it or not. No way I would have chosen "No" for this at any time. The only thing I have not done to get it back to to do an uninstall and then a fresh install, not an upgrade or reinstall.

I am guessing I will have to add some movies to "Videos" as the only way I can play a video atm is via a plugin, MP-TVS, MovPic or MvCentral.

I will see what I can figure out with the other things you pointed out. Thanks again, MM and Brudertac I will let you guys know what I figure out, if i can at all. Might be easier for someone like myself to just wipe the whole PC and start fresh again.

After that many updates (7 -> 8 -> 10) it might indeed be a good choice to do a fresh install of the latest Windows 10 download. You can do this without issues as your system is now known by Microsoft. This should not take longer than an hour - probably well invested time rather than trying to repair the system.
