VCD and SVCD menus don't work. (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I've noticed the same thing.. The SVCD does not start.
What confuses me, though, is that the FAQ says that you "can" watch SVCDs:
Shoudn't it say "no"? (Navigating to the mpeg-folder is beyond my old mother's computer skills....)

If the FAQ say yes, i believe the "no bug" flag should be removed from this thread,
or am i misunderstanding something?

Yes, you can. You will have to install the CDXA reader filter for this.

Hi,
the FAQ is right since you CAN play SVCD and VCD (except the menus), if you have installed the CDXA reader filter within MP. Otherwise it isn't possible for some reasons.
Personally I wouldn't call it a bug that the VCDs and SVCDs aren't played automatically and that you have to select the video within the MPEG folder, it is more a missing feature. (programmers perspective)

I have included such a feature in my MPlayer plugin, which can be found in the download repository of the main site. The developers could also look at my code in the plugin svn and adopt the code to include this feature in MP. But the menus won't work until someone write a navigator filter for VCDs and SVCDs.
