Hi,
I still have that long response time ( 0001764: On some systems MP gets unresponsive when opening a dialog. - MediaPortal Bugtracker ). On my machine it happens often when I played video/TV -> stand by -> wake -> opening context menus. When I open a context menu while TV/video is played context menus have a very fast response (even if they were slow before I started to play a video). After stopping media menus become slow again.

If your system remains slow then please check whether normal keyboard input makes MP react faster.

Try increasing your GUI FPS from 25 to 50.

Guys, make sure that MP is not losing the focus (for example DIVX codec's tray icon / application does that by default settings... shame on those guys :)) MP's rendering engine will slow down a lot when the focus is lost (this is intentionally).

Why must mediaportal be so incredibly slow when it doesn't have the focus?!

Is there some sort of workaround?

also, this "feature" (bug) should be much better documented.

i use milkdrop for my visuals and when mediaportal (not milkdrop) loses the focus, my framerates go down from about 40fps to 8fps !
