Hi Does anyone else have the problem that deleting the original causes MP to crash?

Running latest SVN on a TVE3 mpg recording as of this morning. Prior to this mornings SVN it crashed Media Portal when I hit cut now it crashes once it appears to be finished ie displays 100 and asks to delete original.

On either Cutting or Joining if I choose Delete original when prompted It crashes MediaPortal. One thing I noticed when joining a really long file was that I got a 100 % do you want to delete message I answered "no" MP continued working and I was investigating why the sum of the 2 files was smaller than the original by 2 GB so playing the mpg file to see if it was short then a few minutes later up came another do you want to delete the original yes no option.

For some reason I've got MediaPortal Logging set to Debug and I can't see a log file anywhere in my Media Portal directory. Is this another stupid "You have to be an administrator" issue in Vista to log to the MediaPortal Directory?

Thanks in Advance for any help.

    Greg

I have un other problem with video-editor and lates SVN 14036.
When i start dvr-ms to mpeg conversion, the conversion start for few second but the mpeg file is not created and the original dvr-ms file is deleted.
Is a bug or a my problem??

NB: yesterday i installed the TVServer3 and today i rollback to the old MYTV. Can be this the problem???

    Thanks.

It (they, actually - there's a few log files) should be in the Log directory, off the MP install directory - Vista produces log files for me no problem...

Same issue and same story. Rolled back from tv3 and dvr2mpg does not work anymore. These are the log lines

    Code:
    2007-04-15 11.01.16.843750 [Info.][16]: DVR2MPG: create graph
    2007-04-15 11.01.16.843750 [Info.][16]: DVR2MPG: add streambuffersource
    2007-04-15 11.01.16.843750 [Info.][16]: DVR2MPG: load file:D:\RegistrazioniTv\Nana\Nana - unknown-10_04_2007.dvr-ms
    2007-04-15 11.01.16.906250 [Info.][16]: DVR2MPG: Add Cyberlink MPEG2 multiplexer to graph
2007-04-15 11.01.16.968750 [Info.][16]: DVR2MPG: Unable create graph: Impossibile trovare il file specificato. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070002)
    2007-04-15 11.01.16.984375 [Info.][16]: DVR2MPG: cleanup
    2007-04-15 11.01.17.796875 [Info.][6]: DVR2MPG: cleanup

It seems that cyberlink multiplexer is not found in my system ("impossibile trovare il file specificato" means "impossible to find the file"). I re-installed cyberlink powerdvd, but no luck.

    UPDATE:

Solved reinstalling cldump.ax and mpgmux.ax. It seems that tv3 unregistered those dlls

I only have a configuration.log file under logs. Looked in the new vista ProgramData and various other logical places but my log files are no where to be seen. Possibly due to security on "program files" folders under vista. To copy/modify/add a file under MP it asks for authorisation even with uac turned off (well I think it asks with uac off from memory) so maybe I need to create the log files manually then MP can log to them. I don't seem to have this issue on my other Vista box but that was upgraded with MP inplace.

    Anyway..

So does anyone else get a crash on the original file delete? Or see the file complete before it actually finishes reading & writing the new file?

    Thanks,

    Greg

Cyberlink multiplexer problem can be solved....

Mediaportal installs the file in WINDIR\System32, however i have also experienced that it was unregistered. Just go to Start -> Run and type the following:
    Regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32\MpgMux.ax
