The DVR-MPEG Editor in MP 0.2.3.0 has a bug which causes to automatically start playing the video being edited whenever you move the slider bar, so there is no way set the start or end points because of it.
To reproduce it:
1. Open the DVR-MPEG Editor,
2. Select any file,
3. Use the arrow keys to move to the slider,
4. Press the right once key to jump forward and then see the video starts playing.
If someone can double chek it, then it should be easy to fix by devs.
Ralph and all people interested in the video editor plug-in,
any news about the issue reported by igalan on June 29, 2007 ?

When starting VideoEditor plugin within MP, i got a preview picture for about half a second, then the video screen turns black. When I restart the VideoEditor, I neither have this half second of seeing the video.
I am able to spool within the video i chose to cut (i can hear the sound of the video), am able to cut it, am able to convert dvr.ms into mpeg and mpeg into divx, but i never have a working video preview in VideoEditor.

Do you have a log file? Issues like this need to be supported by log files else they can not be sorted very quickly. Use the new logging tools now built-in to Media Portal to get the information, and/or change the level of logging while in the setup.
What codecs are you using? FFDShow for video and TV? I would 'guess' it is a codec as the video is created by MP Core not the plugin itself unless that has changed recently.
Keep up the good work to all the team, Ralph, Kaybe and Brutus.
TS-files (recorded with TV3) are not supported, yet.
