dvr-mpegcut: Time scale jump from 1:30 to 2:30

    Hi there!

This is actually my first post in the forum although I’m using and enjoying MP since a couple of months now. And the dvr-mpegcut plugin is really one of my favourites, great job!!

This is my problem: When I loaded a file with the plugin and playing around with the slider for the current position, I always get a jump in the time scale from 01:29 hh:mm to 02:30 hh:mm. This one hour jump causes then – of course - a failure in the calculation of the overall time.
I didn’t find anything about this strange behaviour in the forum or in the mantis, maybe I missed it. Anybody else the same problem?

    Cheers, Ragee

I do have a minor request for the "cutting" plugin: Could you add some glue as well???

As a result of MP not beeing able to record two consecutive programs on the same channel correctly I have some files which I have to mend together & cut. Sample Prog A (from 20:00 to 22:00) & prog B (from 22:00 to 23:00) on the same channel (I have only one card). Now MP recorded (due to pre & post):
    A : 19:55 - 21:55
    B : 21:55 - 23:05

Now I would like to get to the following file contents:
    A : 19:59 - 22:00
    B : 22:00 - 23:01

Unfortunatly the dvr-ms cut does not allow this. Is it difficult (I have no idea how to handle mpg streams in code)?

I have made some changes and fixes and hope all the time calculation things are gone.
It will be avaible in the svn soon.

I think to implement a function to join video files will be possible,
both for dvr-ms and for mpeg-files.

Thanx, looking forward to it. Could you give us a short message if it is included in the SVN?

Now I have added the fixes to the svn, I think they will be avaible tomorrow.

I tried the SVN but MP crashes after I click on CUT. I'm not at home, so I don't have logs. Anyone else has this problem?

yeah, me too. still searching for the reasons. also, i don't see the "current timestamp info" but this could be skin related...

    in fact i doubt that the skin is causing the crash, i meant the missing actual time-info tag (-;

    i'm suing pmIII.

But when i think about it... when a statusbar is added this could actually be skinrelated...

for which skin were files added in the SVN? BLue2??? (@dev)??

Changes can only be added to blue2 and razor.
All other skins have to be updated manually or by the skindev.

try it with blue2 and see if mp crashes.
If not, copy the cutscreen.xml to your favorite skin folder.
