It was a skin problem. Now it works.

But a little bug remains. If I cut a single movie the plugin works very well. But if I cut a movie and than another one, on the second movie the cut behave strangely: the progress bar run until 160 (on 100) and I get a movie where at the beginning I get the edited part and after the whole movie. If I quit mediaportal after the first cut and I re-run MP for the second cut I do not get this error.

Hi,

I'm new to MP and started with 0.2.0.0 final. Now upgraded to 0.2.0.4. Actually, after recording a few a tv shows, I was going to use the video cut tool to get rid of all the advertising stuff.

Unfortunately, when I switch to the plugin scrren it only shows me the back button not the browser. I tried hitting some buttons like (page) up/down but none of them brings up the browser display.

I'm using MCE skin. I even tired coppying the xml files included in the download to the skin directory (overwriting existing files) - no success.

Can anyone give me a clue what's wrong with my installation of mp? (Tried searching the forum, but didnt' find any help to my problem)

Unfortunately mce is no longer an officially supported skin. Try again with B2 please.

First, I tried B2 insted of MCE skin. Works perfectly!!! Thx for the quick response which saved me hours troubleshooting.

Will support for MCE skin continue or is it definitely out of scope?

Second, is the new version of the drv-mpegcut plugin already available with 0.2.0.4 stable patch or do I still have to install SVN as of 08-08-06?

By the way: MP and its plugings are really awesome. I switched from meedio and I'm already enjoying many features I was mssiing in meedio. However, still missing some tiny plugins for sending mail or downloading pictures from my digicam. I think it's just a matter time, though.

MP only supports two skins a 4:3 and a 16:9. At the moment B2 is the supported 4:3 one.
If the skin-designer of mce will not add support for Dvr-MpegCut you can easily copy and paste the two xml-files from your up to date B2 version to your MCE folder.

The new version is already avaible with the 0.2.0.4 stable patch.

By the way an other nice feature is that you can jump to the start and end points.
Simply click/press an entry in the cutlist:
first click -> jumps to the startpoint
second click -> jumps to the endpoint

all those new features are only working with dvrms-files at the moment!!

After tested it many times, it's working very fine.
Maybe it miss a parameter for choosing keeping original file or not ?
Actually, after dvr-mpcut, we must go in myvideo or myexplorer for suppress manualy original(s) file(s).

I would like to know if changing duration in tvdabase is in your todo list too ?
As you recalculate the new duration, it should be possible to modify the recorded table for displaying the new duration in mytv/recorded files.
I have tested manually to change iendtime in recorded table of tvdabase and, it works fine.

mmh, now it is on my todo list .

The first thing which will be implemented is the support of the new features for mpeg files.
Cause with the new TVengine mpeg stuff will be more important.
But the mpeg part of the plugin was brutus work.
Perhaps he will do it or I have to dig into his code and make this myself.
After that new stuff will be implemented.
