With this plugin VLC plays for me every movie in 4:3 - not fullscreen. But it is working fine if i open the movie directly in VLC - any ideas?

    Hi Disaster,
Back from holidays. I have some issues with Vlc and seven and i'm working on.
So about ratio, it could be forced in plugin configuration or by using the Mediaportal ratio key, does it means this functionality is broken ?

    Hi!

I'm using actual SVN VLC PLugin as the one from MPE1 does not work for me under Win7. When i start VLC and play my file everything is fine. When i play it in MP it is displayed squeezed as 4:3 - no idea why.

Iirc, proportions can be changed by right click mouse but, not yet implemented for remotes.
This worked fine with MP SVN from one week ago.
And, since no deep change in MP core/guilib...
It also worked fine in MP myvideos.
Did you try it by this way ?
At least, with WinXP / VMR9, it should work (with a bit flickering in domodal menu).

I'm using Win7 with EVR. I've not tried it that way - shouldn't VLC do this automatically? I mean alle videos are played fine when using VLC as standalone. Only in MP / with VLC module - it always squeezes every video to 4:3 - so it fits fine in the small preview windows in the skins.

Sorry, I don't understand what you want.
We already added a default zoom mode, in VLC plugin :

Yes i know - but shouldn't a 16:9 movie presented correctly on a 16:9 display? In VLC itself it does but with this plugin it is displayed as 4:3 and i have to select stretch to get it right. That can't be correct.

And if you select stretch in VLC config and save param ?
Does video always start as 16:9 in this case or not ?
How does it work on MP with internal player ? Isn't it the same behaviour ?

    > And if you select stretch in VLC config and save param ?
Yes then it works but then i have to select the mode for each video. Also a 16:9 Video shouldn't be stretched on a 16:9 display.

    > Does video always start as 16:9 in this case or not ?
    Yes it does

    > How does it work on MP with internal player ? Isn't it the same behaviour ?
No - a 19:9 Video is played as 16:9 with default zoom.
