    Hi guys,

Can everyone please check if you can get it to work, if not I will raise it with a Dev and see if they can look into it.

    Cheers,

    Right, here's the thing.

Since last looking at this I've re-installed MP (1.1 no SVN).

I chose one of the recordings from BBC HD (Life episode 3 - Fish) that was recorded under 1.0.2, tested it under Media Player and it's fine, no voice over. Started MP and chose the same episode but I got the error "Unable to play: 89BD1865, Audio Codec:". Worked fine under 1.0.2.

So I installed the latest versions of ffdshow and Haali and tried again. Fine under Media Player but same error under MP.

Just did a test record of BBC HD (just the preview showing atm), it played back fine with no audio codec problem or voice over. But I don't know if the preview has voice over.

I also sat and watched 5 mins of live BBC HD (still preview) and it had no voice over either.

I hope you appreciate the sacrifice, I had to watch Robbie Williams...

Right, just given it a test on my system. If I set the default language to "eng" it doesn't work (plays the "Unknown:NAR" soundtrack instead of the "AC3:eng"). Setting the "prefer AC3" option works.

So it's a useful workaround for me, but it seems the default language setting isn't doing what it should.

    Rob

EDIT: I tested it with the live broadcast (preview programme) and with a recording of Life. Both have the same two audio streams listed (Unknown:NAR and AC3:eng)

    Hi there,

I tried it with both options set (at the same time) - and it didn't work for me.

I will try it again with just the "prefer AC3" option set (and not the language set)

    Hopefully that might work???
