Sorry Netexplorer - I missed this posting.

Tried the new nasclient, and my client PC hung on resuming from standby, and the server didn't wake up.

I did try running the new nasclient manually after I rebooted the client PC, and it did wake up the server!!

    Cheers

I tested it on my office PC and it seems to work. Did you meen the client PC hangs completely or only nasclient?

Try to use hibernate alternatively, in my case it works more stable. This seems to be more an OS problem, than nasclient. Do you have no problems without nasclient?

    Hi netexplorer,

nasclient appears to work manually, but it doesn't work with standby (PC hangs, as above). Hibernate not tried, as the additional time to startup will cause me further grief from Wife (currently WAF3:D)

    Cheers

Please check your System Event logs. Maybe there is a reason, why pc hangs. The network interface should be checked. Have a look at property page in device manager section Power Management of the network device. Deselect the option "Allow computer to turn off..."
    Then try again.

    Hi Steve,
i have modified the nasclient process to trigger the startserver function within the main loop instead of resume function. Maybe that solves your problem. Please test.

    Hi netexplorer.
I'll see if I can get some time to test this coming weekend.

    Cheers
