    Description
    Hi all,

i can't play DTS 24/96 music files in wasapi mode (it works only in dshow)

is this bug or a missing feature?
there is a way to make just dts files playing in dshow automatically and let other formats play in wasapi mode ?
or, from my pov would be the best, is it possible to pass through directly to the receiver (by hdmi) the formats it can decode and let other playing in wasapi ?
    thank you for any help
    attached logs

    Steps to Reproduce:
    go to music section,
browse folders until find a dts 96/24 file
start the 96/24 dts music file

    OK, Tested.

I played a number of files without problems.
Your file gives me the following image.

    Do you see the same?

    MP settings are:
    Wasapi - Exclusive mode
    Fadein/out 0 and disabled
    Volume 100%
Extentions present: .ac3 .dts .flac .wav etc...

    In windows audiosettings:
    Enabled exclusive mode
    DTS/AC3 enabled
    Outputs 41/44/96/192khz enabled

You still need to way to communicate with the audio HW, which WASAPI exaxctly is. There is no point in writing audio HW specific drivers in an HTPC application.

that means it won't be supported at all i suppose.

may propose to add automatic fall back to dshow player when error 41 is raised ?

    thank you
