In my environment MediaPortal runs with normal user rights. Hence, when WatchDog starts, Windows UAC prompts for elevation.
Is it planned to allow running this tool without administrative rights?

@azzuro @doskabouter maybe we need revert WatchDog changes? Or how to remove the elevation of rights when you start Mediaportal, and leave it at manual start, to get full logs for the TV server, etc.:)

    what were those changes?
And if watchdog is expected to gather system information, then theres probably not much to do about uac, or we have to figure out which info needs the uac (first guess would be eventlog) and if they can be excluded from the zip

    Thanks for your replies.
I'm not sure if the UAC prompt is related to the recent changes since I didn't have this feature enabled before.
