i assume that if you change the Video rendering Typ to overlay and use your monitor as primary display device, MyTV and MyVideos wont display any Video on your TV only on the Monitor.
    is this correct?

    it is not correct
(overlay is disabled in the lates cvs so i cant use it)
if i use my monitor as primary display device, MyTV and MyVideos display any Video on my TV and on the Monitor
    BUT
if i use my monitor as primary display device, Web Browser Plugin wont display on my TV only on the Monitor.

i tell you why i am asking you all this questions.

a few week ago i had the following problem.
    Case 1:
    Primary Display Device: Monitor
    Secondary Display Device: TV (S-Video)
    Video Render Type: Overlay
Result: Videos were displayed on the monitor not on the TV.

    Case 2:
    Primary Display Device: TV (S-Video)
    Secondary Display Device: Monitor
    Video Render Type: Overlay
Result: Videos were displayed on the TV not on the Monitor.

With overlay it was not possible to get Videos shown on both Display Devices!

    Case 3:
    Primary Display Device: Monitor
    Secondary Display Device: TV (S-Video)
    Video Render Type: VMR9
Result: Videos were displayed on the monitor and on the TV

    Case 4:
    Primary Display Device: TV (S-Video)
    Secondary Display Device: Monitor
    Video Render Type: VMR9
Result: Videos were displayed on the TV and on the Monitor

With VMR9 Videos were displayed on TV and Monitor!

I am interested if you have the same behavior with overlay and VMR9.

devo: does the WebBrowser use overlay to display webpages? This would be a explanation for the problems some users are experiencing with the secondary display device.

    yes

    GeForce 6800GT 256MB
    Nvidia 78.01
    vmr9

Monitor set to primary and TV set as clone.
The option for fullscreen video is set to the secondary display.

    Everything works but the webbrowser.

The Mozilla control is an activeX control that sites on the top of the MP form as a usercontrol. This is why you cannot display MP items on top of the web browser.

It doesn't use the MP rendering engine at all but the standard windows forms output(whatever that is).

    thank you for the information.
it sounds that is a limitation of the Mozilla activeX control that it cant be displayed on the secondary Display Device (in this case the TV).

So it is not a bug, it is a feature. The WebBrowser can't appear on secondary displays. :(

I just re-read some earlier posts of your problem. So your TV isn't your primary device?

I would say the mozilla control renders to the primary display device only and this is by design.

I see no easy solution other than to make your TV your primary display device.

I hope someone has an idea of how to fix this, i cant change primary display.
(Placement and use of the PC prevents it)
