I'm aware that all your programming efforts go into the realease of MP 0.2 but at present state the browser plugin is unusable on a 16:9 display with a resolution of 1360 x 768.

Cannot confirm the "unstable" but can absolutely confirm that it is not useable with 16:9. Even the 16:9 Skin does not match with that; it get's cut off on top and on the bottom.

I recommend to center the Plugin and make it much higher and wider :)

Being a "numpty" I thought it would be a no-brainer to navigate through the Web Browser content w/ my remote control and I didn't bother reading all 19 pages here before now.

Am I crazy, or shouldn't I be able to map any key w/ my remote and then use TAB (for example) to move between links on a page

Having read all the posts, it seems like the author (devo) hasn't been around for awhile, but if someone could confirm the impossibility of this chore I could stop banging my head against the wall (I would really appreciate it!).

Thanks in advance.

Looks like I should have patented this idea, I may have beaten Microsoft to it. This is not exactly like what Microsoft is getting a patent for, but it is close. See here.

I talked about it back here

As a feature request with the 16:9 skin. I think it would be nice if the mini-viewer could continue to work (after the TV station was set) and then the user could surf the internet while continuing to watch TV. I think this would be so cool!

I have asked for this once upon a time - back when the author was first working on it and thought it time to bring it back up.

    Announcement:

In the near future, the WebBrowser plugin will be even more separated from the main MediaPortal core. For example, the web keyboard will be part of the plugin as opposed to the main distribution. Therefore, MediaPortal SVN versions, starting tomorrow, will require this (or later) version of the WebBrowser plugin in order to work.

I would suggest placing a B2 and B2 wide skins (since they are the defaults used by MediaPortal) with this zip so users can just download one file.

Yes, but if I'm not mistaking, the B2 and B2 Wide WebBrowser skins are already included in the main MediaPortal installation. I do intend to move them from the main distribution eventually, but as long as they are still there and I haven't changed them anything... Don't fix it if it works...

Sorry, but I meant to say the xml files for the web browser plugin for the B2 & B2 wide skins. Those files should not be included in the MP main release because the Web Browser plugin is not in the main distribution of MP.

I just checked (I blew away everything a week ago and installed 0.2.2.0 and then installed the SVN at that time) and I have to stand corrected. For some reason the xml files for the B2 & B2 wide skins have been included, but the dll for the that plugin is not included. I was wrong, sorry about that.
