hmm i thought about that yeah, but then what about starting firefox in fullscreen, and being able to press 'escape' to exit back to mediaportal menu and stuff. will all of that work?

You can launch Firfox from MediaPortal with other plugins such WebBrowser. You can resize your Firefox screen to the full size or you can use F11.

Using FFI 1.5 and MP 1.1.0RC1 it says:

An error occured while loading the plugin MediaPortal.MultiShortcut.MultiShortcut

It's incompatible with the current MediaPortal version and won't be loaded.

Any chance to get ffi with MP 1.1.0 RC1?

I think your problem is the wrong version of MultiShortcut plugin.
A hint about this is also in the very first post:

yes it's possible, I implemented it

In InfoService, advanced configuration you should choose custom for web browser, for window ID choose ID of the MultiShortcut you use for calling Webbrowser, and also choose properties to fill (they need to match in MultiShortcut and InfoService).
