Will FirefoxIntegrator also work with the X-Face skin?

Great! I think I'm going to change this "plugin" for Opera Mobile! Can take some time, because I'm waiting for a new RF remote which I have to test. Also I'm going to migrate the 'remote controlling' from EventGhost to AHK.

See my post about Opera Mobile, it's awesome!
In my search for a browser that can be controlled by just the arrow keys (a remote), I found that Opera actually does support that very well:
Opera: Tutorial - Use Opera without a mouse

You can just select links by pressing SHIFT + ARROW to go to the nearest hyperlink.
I tried it and it works great! Maybe a plugin can be made for the opera browser, like this plugin is for FireFox.

Edit:
I found another great thing:
Opera Mobile emulator for desktop - Dev.Opera

Opera mobile for Windows!!! Maybe that is even easier!

I can confirm that it works great with my remote. Now it has to be integrated somehow in MediaPortal..

Also try these arguments:
Code:
-geometry 1280*720 -notouchwithtouchevents -fullscreen -url #browserlink

Set up #browserlink property in InfoService

And I found out that a "OperaMobileIntegrator" probably isn't even needed... It already does sms input etc..

AW: Webbrowser: FirefoxIntegrator

Hallo,

This plugin no longer works for mediaportal 1.2.1. Has anyone got it working? I used it to open Google Chrome from inside MediaPortal and it worked great until I upgraded to version 1.2.1.

Hi,

Working OK here on 1.2.1. I've always held off upgrading firefox as I'm not sure if that would break it. You need to get the right version of Multishortcut installed as well as it uses this. Check the multishortcut plugin forum as there are a few different versions you can try.

Cheers,
Jon.

Hi, as I mentioned in post #115 I have made a small hack so that I don't need to run MediaPortal, see file enclosed. I hope you don't mind, zunixnuz.

I have two suggestions:
1. Make this into an normal Firefox plugin
2. Port this to Linux (1. would do that)

I don't know enough about writing scripts, but guess it cannot be too difficult? I think FirefoxIntegrator is great and use it every day. Thanks!

Sorry, but i will not make further developments for FirefoxIntegrator
because better Webbrowser solutions (e.g. plugin "Browse The Web") for Mediaportal are now available.

I am sorry too. From its title page description I cannot see that the plugin Browse The Web has a virtual mouse pointer (or is that what mouse support means?) or SMS texting as features? Pls clarify.
