Webinterface plugin (1 Viewer)

Hallo everyone,

I just found out about MediaPortal and the Webinterface. Sounds like the perfect solution for me! Specially since it supports my TV Card.

I tried to use it on WinXP with the Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1300. Unfortunately I cannot get it working so far.

When I select programs to Record in the Webinterface, I wont find them later in the MediaPortal. Like I´ve seen in the readme I have to activate the "home" checkbox for the "external control plugin". This doesnt seem to work properly for me. I activate this checkbox, but after restarting it is still unchecked.

Is there any solution for this problem so far? I searched google and serveral forums for quite a while, but I wasnt able to find something helpfull.

I tried both, RC1 and RC2, cannot use the older version, cause its not supported by my TV Card. Both the Frameworks are installed on my PC.

Please try http://yourMachineName:81/MPExtControlWS/ and goto
RefreshRecordingsInMP - and Invoke - anything?

This is normal - and not a bug.

thank you very much for your fast response. It took my a while to find the time to play around more with the MediaPortal.

I can find the webinterface scheduled recordings in the MediaPortal now.

Unfortunately theres still a problem, everything looks like it should. It shows "Finished" in the scheduled section, but the programs are not recorded.

What confuses me even more is, it workes once in a while, maybe 2 or 3 times, but most of the times it doesnt. If I plan the schedules in the MediaPortal, without the Webinterface, everything works just fine.

Would be perfect if I can get the Webinterface working, since I'm keeping my "TV-Slave" in the storage room, so its not to convenient right now to work with the MediaPortal using VNC. Webinterface is so much easier to handle

Hmm - this is weird...could you go to the Update menu item - and paste the information from the new window here?

Since a few days back, the WAP version of the web interface just doesn't work anymore.

I've been using it since the last version 0.3.2 came out and it's been doing fine, but since a few days back my WAP reader just says "Invalid page, try another" (using SE K750i).

The normal web interface still works just fine, it's only the WAP interface that seems broken now.

Any ideas?

Have you tried browsing to the page through IE/FF?

Update: I just tried the wmlbrowser extension for Firefox and was able to see what the error is caused by. Here is what Firefox complains about:

XML Parsing Error: not well-formed Location: chrome://browser/content/hiddenWindow.xul Line Number 45, Column 10:

...so it seems that a show title (Wallace and Gromit no less!) is somehow breaking the XML! I would guess that it is possibly the ampersand (&) ?

Is it not feasible to run a urlencode() on the strings before embedding them in the XML?

Problem with screenshots

Hi!

Great plugin!!

If only have one prob with RC2: I cannot see the screenshots for using it as a fully remote control (i.e. switching radio stations).

Any suggestions?
