    Hi!

    Great plugin!!

If only have one prob with RC2: I cannot see the screenshots for using it as a fully remote control (i.e. switching radio stations).

    Any suggestions?

    Thanx in advance!

Incredible how some people just don't read the readme file....

If you've downloaded the latest CVS of MPW - you don't need to download the .rar file!

    1.1.1911.1879

    regards,

    Philipp

    That's why...

    Close MP

    Goto D:\Programme\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\MPWebControl\htdocs\MPExtControlWS\bin

Copy the ECP2Assembly.dll to D:\Programme\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal (overwrite the file)

    Start MP again

    Test it again

I'm probably doing some stupid mistake here, but I can't get the web interface to work over the Internet.

I got it working from within my lan without a problem.
I have set up port forwarding of port 80 and 81 in my router.
I have also tried disabling the windows firewall just in case.
The wap interface works just fine.
But if I try to access it vith a web browser using my external IP it just doesn't find anything.
Anyone have an idea? I'm running out of them...

hmm...you say that the WAP interface works....then MPW itself must also work....what error do you get, when trying to access it?

Strange, now it suddenly works. I haven't changed anything, haven't rebooted my HTPC or anything.
Only thing that I can come up with is that it works today because the EPG-data is different than yesterday.
But that doesn't make sense either, because I didn't get any error message from MPW yesterday, I just got a "Could not connect to server" message.
Well it works now, so I'm happy. Sorry for bothering you with my strange problems. :?

    Hello!

thank you again for your great support.
    Recording works now. Great :)

So I can finally use it now! :) unfortunately there still 2 small problems left.

One is actually already described by other users in this thread, sometimes the guide looks so broken (problem with some characters?). I've already updated to the newest version (no idea where I got the old one from, since I've just installed 2 weeks ago),
but the problem remains. You can find a screenshot here:
    http://www.handyrent.de/Photos/mp-webinterface.jpg

The other one is, I cannot record in "Upcoming Episodes" or in the search results. The recording feature only works if I see the details of a Tv show and press the record button there.

Well, no big deal those things, would still been cool to find out why.

    Thank you so much :)

    Philipp

Number 1...give me the channel name, date/time and title of the "show" that kills it - and email me, your tvdatabase - then perhaps we can figure it out together....you using msn?

Just add me - it might be easier, that way.

Number 2 (recording in...) - could you give me some feedback there....what's the error etc....
