    New Look

    I've modified the webcontrol a bit and this is the result, It has the same look as the mediaportal site.

    I hope I didn't do anything illegal by doing this?
    (Just let me know)

    If anyone wants it just let me know, or perhaps the original creators can use it?

    Is MPWebcontrol still active?

    A new version will be released as installer and will be announced once it's ready!

    Missing Snapshot in remote page over network

    Hi,

    I am running nearly the latest Snapshot of MP and MPW version as follows:

    Current Version .: 0.3.2
    Current Build .: 2005_09_16_20_00

    (according to the updater page).

    I have MP on 2 machines, one is for testing only and does not have any TV cards installed, the other has multiple cards and is what we watch TV on.

    When I installed MPW on my dev machine (which is for a PHP application, not related to MP), everything works fine. I can view the desktop snapshot from that machine and any others on the network.

    However, when I installed on the nearlly identical (software wise) version on the main TV machine, although the package works, I am missing the desktop snapshot image in the web remote page.

    This is only when viewing the page across the network, and not on localhost:81 which works fine.

    Would like to say, this is truly excellent work and I really appreciate the ease of use and added fucntionality that this plugin has given me.

    Any ideas on why I can't view this image?

    Thanks

    Chris

    DB access cuasing MP to stutter

    Hi,

    Area: Media Portal Program MP Version: 0.2
    Skin: MCE
    Windows Version: XP Pro SP2
    CPU Type: Intel P4 D 3.20
    Memory: 2GB DDR2
    Motherboard Chipset: MSI 945G Neo
    Video Card: Intel onboard 82945G
    Video Card Driver:
    Video Card Resolution: 1280x768
    Video Render Type: VMR9
    Video Codec Type & Version: ?
    TV Card: Hauppauge HVR 1100 , Terratec Cinergy 2400 i DT
    TV Card Type: DVB
    TV Card Driver: 2.106.23151.0, 1.0.3.243

    I have installed MPW and it was working OK.

    After problems with MP and recording/timeshifting, I replaced soundcard which solved the problem:

    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/showthread.php?t=10130

    Now, the problem re-surfaces only when accessing the MPW across the network.

    I have another instance of Apache2 running and set up MPW as a service named as MPWapache so as to not confuse issues (don't know if this is relevant).

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hello. A small question. Are they any toughts on the WebInterface also supplying a WebService to external applications? (Like real WindowsMobile5 applications)?

    Sure, I could write my own interface for server to the MP but since you guys has done such a good just to interface into the MP and it's database.

    What I was thinking about was simple webservice with functions like:
    * GetChannels();
    * GetPrograms(iChannel);
    * ViewProgramInformation(iChannel, iProgram);
    * Record(iChannel, iProgram);

    (much as the WAP interface is today but for a webservice instead.).

    just a tought?

    Check the web service that's already in use by the web interface - http://localhost:81/MPExtControlWS/service.asmx; not sure if your version has the functions you're after, I know that the new version that I'm working on already has that.

    For all those people having problems with the screen shot feature, can you let me know *exactly* what the fix is so I can include it into the next release?

    Thanks,

    Sam

    I have been trying to get WOL to work for the longest time. I have tried the online version and a bunch of 3rd party utilities with limited success. I have only been able to wake my HTPC up using the MPW-wake up when I do it from within my LAN. The strange thing is that even though I am doing it from within the network, the settings I use are as if I am outside the LAN. But when I try it outside, it doesn't work. I want to try the offline version, but I can find the .zip file that is mentioned in the documentation anywhere. Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Sound like either you or the place you use "outside" are blocking the port needed for this to work. If it works on your LAN it should work from the "outside" if the right ports are open in firewalls. At least that’s what I think but I'm no expert ;)
