thanks. Is there anyway I can get TV show logos (WMC had something similar) when the TV is not on?
try 11row tvguide under settings. any further modification needs to be done by editing the skin. you can check titan skin forum for mods by users.

I meant use MP client to try to spot how it's requesting streams for specific channels and then try to do the same with VLC.
