DirectX Exclusive mode gives exactly that exclusive rendering to the video file you're playing back.
It avoids tearing of videos with a supported VMR9 capable graphics card.
This feature should always be on for DirectX 9 cards or better for smoother video especially fast motion scenes.
You are right, it would be great if all options were explained!
The reason I did not complete them is that I am not sure of them myself. With most of the Wiki pages I have created or amended, I have added the details I know (which I think is probably better then nothing) and hope to update them if I read more in the forums or from personal experience.
If someone want to post some details of some of the other options, I am happy to update the pages. I did do a very quick search of the forums last night (search on VMR9) to see if I could add more, but I could not find any information of use in the first couple of pages of results.
Non-square mixing mode is recommended if either of the following conditions are true:
Your application never sends more than one video stream to the VMR-9.
Your application renders DVD, television, or ms-dvr files. You should also use YUV mixing mode in this case, if the graphics hardware supports it.
If your application mixes multiple video streams that may have varying image sizes or pixel aspect ratios, the default square mixing mode is recommended.
Can anyone tell me the step-by-step procedure for bringing up a second channel in pip mode? I can only do it sometimes, after many tries, and it’s not clear what I am doing that makes it work on those occasions when it does. Cannot find guidance on the site.
Thanks, N.
Again, if anyone knows how to do this, would be much...

I am running a Xubuntu machine as a server with all my movies and series on it, I run a VirtualBox VM with Windows 10 installed on the virtual machine and MP1 client installed on that.
MP runs fine on the VM but I no longer have a tv tuner to test if passthrough is possible. I don't think it would work anyway.

Hi
This is a general question about OnX.
I have been using the TvWishList plugin for a while and have recently updated (update install) from MP 1.36 x86 to 1.37 x86 and found there seemed to be no Onx menu in the TV guide. I then configured the onx.presets.xml file like I would normally do with updates or fresh installs, but still...

I currently have two Quatros running, one connect, one duo using OTA antennae, mostly UHF fringe area, mostly cat5 local network.
Hauppauge card retired long ago. I have also retired very early SD units, the Quatros seem to work much better than the older units.
Go to SD's support website and download and install the windows...
