I seem to be having a little trouble with the HD guide after trying the new file they are still encrypted, I have replaced the old tswriter file but it has made no difference, what am i doing wrong?

Hi roofmunky

Make sure you stop the TV service before replacing the file, and also make sure you clear the existing data - both can be done from the "manual control" section of TV Server configuration.

Tried that mate but to no success. Not to worry though I have found another file of the same name, replaced that and its sorted. Many thanks for your input though, its much appreciated.

Is there any chance that a version of DJBlu's Freeview HD EPG enhancement could be merged into 1.3 Alpha? Not having it included as part of base code is such a major short-coming in the UK, if not elsewhere.

In addition, I imagine that having this in the core system would mean that we could also use other EPG enhancements, such s the clever stuff going in DJBlu's other thread:

Yes, I would say it will very likely be included in 1.3.0a.

If you ask me, the entire MP EPG system needs an overhaul. That might be part of it. We'll have to see what happens. As always, the shortage is in developers.
