MCE Europe for me as well. Does (nearly) everything I need it to. Looking forward to playing with the configuration in RC4.

Would use the iMon Pad if the joystick wasn't so inaccurate

Universal Electronics HT Pro through a Streamzap receiver controlling Girder.
I've been a bit of a remote junkie for years. Before Mediaportal, I used to control one TV, one DVD player, three VCRs and one surround amp with this remote.
Now I only have to control Mediaportal, the amp and the TV.

I'm using a NevoSL not the cheapest option but one of the nicest remotes around.

It is now programmed with all the key from my wireless ir keyboard. It allows me to wake my PC from 'off' using the remote. Keyboard receiver is plugged into the PS/2 connections. This was as I saw it the biggest problem with all the USB solutions.

Currently :
Remote : Peekton IR 900 (Universal remote with learning ability)
Receiver : MCE

A few Months ago : Hauppauge 45 buttons with its receiver bundled with the HVR 1300

A few weeks ago : i replaced the hauppauge Remote with an universal remote (the peekton one) : no problem

A few comments :

The Hauppauge is perfect to control MP, thanks to mPod (i think he is the one who wrote the plugin). The problem is that my living room is big and at more than 4 - 5 m the remote doesn't respond very well. In fact this is due to the receiver which has a realy poor sensitivity.

A few weeks ago, i was upset by the receiver that wasn't seeing all the commands of the remote. I had the opportunity to buy on ebay a mce remote with it's receiver.
out of the box, the remote worked perfectly. i was very surprised with the sensitivity of the mce receiver that was really great. Since i have used this receiver, i didn't loose any keypress on the remote, and it changed my life !

unfortunately, nothing is perfect ! i was unable to learn correctly the code of the mce remote to the peekton universal remote. i was very disapointed ! after a few search on forums i found HIP wich is able to handle any remote with the mce receiver. so i decided to use it.

I configured HIP to send keystroke to mp using the hauppauge remote. No problem, it was quiet easy. when done, i reconfigured my universal remote with the hauppauge, and now, all work fine !

ATi RemoteWonder II with a plugin to support MP

The main functions work fine; unfortunately, many buttons do nothing, and I'm not sure how I might go about remedying that situation.

It is a normal IR-universal remote (with no learn ability though! - just a preset database) an RF to USB remote and can also be used as an X10 controller (I couldn't care less for the latter).

Not bad, but I need learn.

Also its driver situation is a bit vague (some drivers from other companies work, you have to research which is better or newer etc.).

iMON VFD remote from soundgraph.

It don't need a driver for MP to control all functions. As long as there is a shortcut, this remote can learn the function. It's really great. :D

Only problem is, when it resumes from hibernition it will not allways work before I click the mouse or press a key on the keyboard.

I'm not sure this is a MP issue, it might as well be a problem in the soundgraph program. :?

Is there anyone having the same problem??? and maybe a solution/workaround??
