C4 HD is a DVB-S2 stream so you'll need to enable S2 search in TV server (and have a DVB-S2 capable card). As C4 HD is encrypted via NDS, Sky's encryption system, then you'll need a CAM with a recently updated and valid Sky 'Yellow House' card.

I take it there is now way to get ch4HD without having the above.
I don't use or subscribe to sky. so what is a yellow house card??

Correct. Eventually C4HD will become FTA like BBC-HD. 5 also have an HD channel in the pipeline.
The yellow house is just the graphic on the top of the Sky viewing card
I know they are sending out new cards to subscribers at the moment (saw an advert telling you this last time I was at a friends and watching Sky). I don't know if the new cards will work in the existing CAMs for NDS (such as the Dragon CAM).
