Hello,

I´ve about 1 TB of music and movies on my WLAN-NAS.
Browsing with Windows explorer is a snap, Media portal takes ages.
Using folder structure view. Database views are fast.
Why?
Yess, i´ve searched the forum, but found only older threads...
Deleted thumbs folder, didn´t help. Deactivated thumbs as much as possible, didnt help, too.
Thank you for general hints.

Please make a test with the following steps:

    1. Clean you mediaportal log folder (c:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\log)
    2. Start watchdog
    3. Select the 1st option (Report a bug to Team Mediaportal)
    4. Go to my video
    5. Go to a folder which is slow, note how many seconds were until the content was showed
    6. Exit MP
    7. Upload the zip file with logs.

Here we go. It´s like i did with the last log.
Before i started media portal in debug mode, i browsed the drive with the windows explorer to make sure, it was not suspended.
Then i started Media portal in debug mode, browsed to myVideos, entered pin.
It took 12-13 sec for the folder "parentsMovies" to show up. The window explorer need not a second. Then i exited MP.
Thank you for your help. BTW i didn´t find anything in the logfiles. Where do you look at?

Already disabled IPv6 due to many tips on google. Also disabled autotuning:
    http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/72308-auto-tuning-tcp-ip-receive-level.html.
    Doesn´t help.

Anyway, thank you for help. The problem is with MP : File browsing is extremly more slow in media portal.
Windows explorer goes way faster. Takes me 12 secs to open my movies folder in Mediaportal but no noticeable (< 1sec) time with windows explorer.
I assume MP also looks for thumbs, database entries and whatever that slows this down.
