Why is SMP using thumbs and not Fullsize covers for Movingpictures?? (2 Viewers)

Hi,

like the Title sais,

I am wondering is there is an option to let StreamedMP use the fullsize cover thumbs in stead off the small thumbs..

The resolution of the thumbs is very low and because of that it doesn't look nice always.. When I paste the files from the fullsize thumb folder into the thumbfolder, the images in Mediaportal looking a lot better!

m3rcury has allready made a .bat file to copy the files from C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs\MovingPictures\Covers\FullSize to C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs\MovingPictures\Covers\Thumbs

But I was wondering if there is a better way to let the high resolution images show up in Mediaportal.. I have looked in all skinfiles but I think I can't change it in there..

Any suggestions??

Hi , i think i read abut it , in mov-pic tread ...
if you go to mov-pic setting > advance setting > one of option is for covar ....look there to mack it bigger then default setting..

this isuue is plugin ,and not skin ....

I know that I can change that size.. But I have tried it a couple of times and it doesn't work.. I have made the min. thumb size the same size as max. size in the advanced settings. I did a delete all my thumbs, and did a new search in Movingpictures.. After doing that, I get exactly the samed size thumbs as before..

I think it's a skin related thing because SMP can also choose to use the thumbs of C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs\MovingPictures\Covers\FullSize

Maybe the reason low res thumbs are used for the smaller images is to reduce loading times or something, did you see any delayed loading when you copied the larger files to your thumbs folder?

I agree though that the lower quality of the thumbs is noticeable on large tv's.

This has nothing to do with StreamedMP, its the plugin that loads the images.
