I am unable to load any Wiki pages on my iPad, either in Firefox or Safari. Is this just a problem with the Apple webkit, or is the Wiki down completely?

wiki is up but I don't have a iphone/ipad to test. Tried via browserstack.com and here there's also no issue with Safari.
