OK, here we go...
v12 - Black screen on resume
v13 - Works, no visible flashing
v14 - Works but visible flashing bar at top of screen
v15 - Works, nothing visible
v16 to v18 - Works, nothing visible

I think you've cracked it (at least for my black screen on resume problem - somebody who uses refresh rate changer may need to try it)
