Obviously there is also plenty of really doggy IR receivers that do not show as eHome and will only partially work with HID. They typically send WMC keyboard shortcuts instead of the corresponding HID codes. However being eHome is usually a good thing.

So far we couldn't even find out which one shows up as ehome device. He has an inbuild receiver and put on an external usb receiver.
