Same at the moment, when you press the info button. But this is something I was going to ask you, so your question is well timed. One question: how does it look like when you are not using mouse, but a remote control?
Interesting remark. I would think that opinions about this could be divided when I remember some of the recent thread postings. Damned if you do and damned if you don't...I think it's not very good to show all information at once: player controls and Media information in footer.
Sure, I also don't like pressing buttons multiple times too much. This is how it is solved for TV at the moment. And if we apply a solution, it should be common between TV and videos from my point of view. The other problem is, that we have basically no free button on the remote.Interesting remark. The concept of having to press/click multiple times (up to three) to display differen tlevels of information will probably cause a lot of discussion. When I look at your conept screens, one could combine the first and the second. In the end it is going to be a question of getting used to something new.
But just to be clear: I really like your work.
ATM there is no consolidated list of buttons and its mapped functions. The other problem is, that we have basically no free button on the remote.
So I'm not the only one. I found the button functions mostly out by trying. But navigation is still not intuitive and logial for me.ATM there is no consolidated list of buttons and its mapped functions.
I also have not understood how the button assignment actually works. Are buttons hardcoded or is there an abstraction layer that allows to link button X to MediaPortal function A? This is the way it has been solved in MP1.
But I don't want to dilute this thread
