The OP had asked about either, you said 1.1 Beta 1 works. I was asking for clarification about whether or not TVServer 1.02 works or not. And I have searched and have gone though many of these threads:
Let´s say it this way: I had no troubles at all installing MP, it runs smooth without any bugs. I cannot confirm the bug you reported with RTSP streaming and as i-loop wrote to you in the last post you seem to be the only one having this problem. I used Windows 7 since last year with very early alphas and betas because I´m also one of the official translators for their GUI, and I never had problems with 1.0, 1.01, 1.02, 1.1Alpha and latest 1.1Beta1.
We are aware that there might be some issues under Windows 7, but generally speaking it runs better on Windows 7 than on Vista.
Dunno if this helps.. but my ATSC USB stick tuner wouldn't scan channels in the TV Server on Windows 7. Could just be a lame cheap tuner though. Everything else worked perfectly that I tried.
Thanks guys. Ok, spent the (whole) weekend on this lol.
First; TVHeadend/Kodi.... Nah. Given up on that - 'non-tech'; its horrible. 'Tech' - a few reasons but mostly that it is buggy. It is actually a real shame as it does have potential and promises a lot (was great to have Kodi on my phone and be able to watch live/recordings...

The reason I was thinking I needed more RAM is that TV now seems to be HiDef and so the files have grown. I edit the files before storing them, to reduce some size. It is finding that slower, I think. Or it could just be because I'm expecting more? The Baseboard manufacturer says ASUSTech Computer Inc; Baseboard product P7P55D-E...

If you use a VPN connection to your home network, you should be able to use the MP client to connect to your server natively instead of using MPExtended.
