Windows Shutdown unexpectedly (2 Viewers)

Hi Paranoid Delusion,

I'm still no further ahead with getting the machine to wakeup from sleep and record.

I have found a setting to change the delay time the TV Server starts up to give the TV Tuner card time to initialise and have set this to 30 seconds. This appears to have stabilised the machine after wakup, but still no reording?

Powerschedule setings are:

sleep after 5 minutes
pre wakeup time 120 seconds
pre no shutdown time 180 seconds
check interval 60 seconds
reinitialise tuner unticked (but tried ticked as well)

Any help appreciated.

Hi guys,
I also have been experancing this same problem. I have been running MP for a while now with no sleep/wake up problems. But last week I install a Happauge 1800 and TV server and since then my computer has shutdown during sleep or have problems coming out of sleep. In fact, now my computer won't turn back on or even post. Tonight I am going to take the battery out and reset the cmos. Maybe there will be something in the event logs to suggest what is happening. I will keep you posted

Hi Again,

I have made some really good progress since my last post in this forum thanks to Paranoid Delusion and now have a working solution.

Here are some of the things I have discovered:

- in Powerscheduler, I disabled all the EPG download settings - I read a forum where settings here disrupted My TV i.e. playback, timeshifting etc

- untick the "reinitialise tuner" box in Powerscheduler

- set the delay in TV Server startup to 20 seconds to give the tuner card a chance to startup

- install "MPStandbyHandler" (search for this name) and set the settings as per Paranoid Delusions recommendation on page 14
