Yes, I have seen this one before, and it is because the context menu is lacking the proper actions (ie move up, move down, select, esc).

The plugin is sending the actions, but the menu just isn't responding to them.... :(

I had said I would try to look into the actions on the menu page but ran out of time in the past few days. Hopefully a dev could throw those actions into the menu screen.

Thanks a lot for your kind answer and your good job!

WinLirc

I'm using version 0.1.1.1 and have tried both the original plugin and winlirc3.dll.

The original works fine in the config and does something in the software, but it doesn't work. It makes that click sound whenever I press a programmed button, but doesn't do anything. Sometimes mediaportal does something, but not often, and it's never what I want it to.

The new one is a complete dud, it keeps deleting the codes it learns every time I close out of the config window.

How can I get this to work?

Thanks!

Holly Shit. That last release was total crap. I'm not sure how I managed to post that to SF. The file that was on SF was half using a new XML file format and half using the old one.

I have put the proper one on SF now so please give it a try.

Again, I'm really sorry for having the wrong release on the site.

Hmm, I installed it in place of the other one, but it still won't save the programmed commands. It understands them but once I close the window it deletes them

hmm... still won't save.

Should I uninstall, completely remove everything in the folder, and then reinstall fresh?

Well, I installed fresh, putting all the leftover files in a folder I called "backup", then putting it back to 1.0.5.1 (because I didn't save the new version, just opened it) and still have no luck.

do I have to create any other files, besides install the plugin into the processes folder?

Well, I was looking at the link to the description of this plugin you put in your signature, and it says a xml file will be created in the program folder.

The only XML files are CaptureCardDefinition.xml, capturecards.xml, dvbt.xml, keymap.xml and mediaportal.xml. Nothing to do with the LIRC plugin.

Am I supposed to have downloaded this file somewhere, or should it make it by itself?

Hi, i' m a newbie in the "mediaportal world". i have a problem with context menu using a remote control.
Mediaportal ver 0.1.1.1 and WInlirc3.dll last version.
I can open the context menu, but i cannot move inside the menu and select item. I have configured the move action (left, right, up dowm)in Global Action but with the context menu don't work... Is it an my configuration error?
The same problem when i play an video, i cannot select, increase or decrease the item in the secondary menu (volume, subtitle, video control, etc..) :?: :?: :?: :?:
