Any hints on getting animated gifs working for the various maps? Mine don't move, but some have said they have been able to get them to work. I am using the StreamedMP skin and MP 1.21 if that matters. TIA.

Animated Gif only works if you insert the url manual in Skin File. The plugin itself did not support this up to now.

Hello.
Ive implemented the Zoom mode on sattellite images to backdrop skin files, similar to Catavolt's dedault skin files as the backdrop skin filesd are based on default skin files. Just replace WorldWeatherImage.xml with the attached xml

I'm having trouble actually getting this to work, am I missing something?

I'm trying to set up Palmerston North in New Zealand.

I've tried multiple variations of the name, I've got the city code (NZXX0061), I've got the Description as "Palmerston North, Manawatu-Wanganui" (which is how google shows it in igoogle) and I've got the longitude and latitude filled out.

Any ideas?

Try with just "palmerston north".

Google weather API used in WorldWeather plugin find it directly (cf. http://www.google.com/ig/api?weather=palmerston+north)

For now, just try leaving the lat/long blank or zero. There are still issues to be resolved with the code ... it is the FIRST release. The Author will be back from holiday in a week (as he projected) and will try to get things working.

thanks for the weather fix...

helping a buddy of mine which is still using the alpha 1.2 (1.1.5) which we don't want to change just yet. What can I do to help get his weather working?

I'd tried just 'palmerston north' before but removing the lat and lon worked sweet.
