Summary and preview of upcoming version
Dear community,
first of all thank you very much for useful discussions, translation files, skins and the great support of some members during my absence. As you know, version 0.2.5 was the first stable version and I'm aware about some bugs and glitches. But I mean, the investment of not more than 30 hours of development was a success for all of us.
Let my summarize the last post's of this thread:
Before I'll give a preview of the newest version, please give me the time to explain some misunderstandings:
As I said before, attached you can find a preview version of the next release. For this release, the following restrictions apply: only support for english translation file and no installer files.

catavolt: I had add the required files to default/default wide skin files, please check this and adapt it for your needs, thanks a lot.
This version can be used with skin files for version 0.2.5, but the starry sky functionality must be disabled.
If any community members are interested, please check and test this version, I hope the main problems are fixed now. The plugin is in an early development phase, so translation files can be changed with each requirement or member request. Hopefully all translators can support me in the next time in the same way.
In good case, I want to publish the final version this or next weekend. For more informations about changes and enhancements, please consult the manual inside the attached file.

As you know, version 0.2.5 was the first stable version and I'm aware about some bugs and glitches. But I mean, the investment of not more than 30 hours of development was a success for all of us.
Let my summarize the last post's of this thread:
- the biggest problem is the conversion bug for longitude and latitude (thx to 2BitSculptor and ysmp for periodic statements and notes about this)
- animated weather images doesn't work for all donwloadable pictures
- some imported strings (e.g. weekdays) could not be costumized yet
- some condition images are not correctly mapped (see mapping tabel from here)
- some weather image url's are not documented
Before I'll give a preview of the newest version, please give me the time to explain some misunderstandings:
- The plugin tries to detect the localized weather provider page using your system region and culture settings.
- This plugin does not use any translation strings from the MediaPortal translation file, so any changes in this files doesn't reflect changes in the WorldWeather plugin.
- Currently the plugin can only display information, which comes from the weather provider or can be calculated (e.g. moon phase).
- Other weather providers can also be supported later, the next step is definetively integration of Yahoo.
- The browser functionality is included for future versions, maybe later you can open a provider site directly in your browser.

- source code and configuration dialog preparation for other weather providers (maybe some configuration settings can be set, but these has no impact
