@Ballermann

when adjusting the location (in my case Oldenburg, Germany, GMXX0101) and using "detect" it switches to Munich automatically.

As I said in the documentation, this can be inaccurate. The granularity depends on your network provider and your DHCP WAN IP address.

if I remember in a right way, the "original" weather-plugin showed up the Location next to the temp in Homescreen, like "Oldenburg, 10°C", now it´s just showing the temp.

This is not the "original" weather plugin. If you would like the old style, please ask in your appropriate skin forum.

I am using an external display, connected via MPDisplay2-Plugin, this is using InfoService-Plugin for showing temp and the specific icon while running ... Now the "connection" in between is gone - is there a chance of connecting this great plug-in with the MPDisplay-Plugin to see icon and temp again?

Please ask in the MPDisplay plugin thread, I can't do anything here.

Here stands nothing of auto-detect for the number of elements.

Please let us not overact this. If you would like the "random" option, we can go the following way:

• you get the property like #WorldWeather.TodayRandomNumber permanently
• the range for this random number can be controlled by a "hidden" mediaportal.xml configuration entry
• this is a expert and skin dependend functionality: I do not support a configuration dialog entry, this may confuse other users only
• the documentation says nothing about this

Hope you can accept this.

By the way.... it doesn´t matter which skin I am using, even in the "out-of-the-box-skins" the temperature is available in the Homescreen but not it´s location! Is that "normal" or an "error"?

This is no error it is up to the skin. To show your location you have the property: #WorldWeather.Location

Release Candidate of WorldWeather plugin v0.3.5 for MediaPortal v1.2.0 or higher

Dear community,
from my point of view it is time to present the 1st release candidate for the upcoming version v0.3.5. The latest build can be found in the first post of this thread.

Let me summarize all changes since the last official release:

List of plugin related changes:

• support for up to 10 locations
• context menu and configuration options for opening a weather map added
• humidity, world, webcam and self-defined images added
• configuration option for self-defined weather maps added
• configuration option to override the localization detection routines added
• configuration option to load weather images on startup added
• configuration option for optional weather feed added
• location detection for configuration dialog added
• support for more temperature units (°C, °F, K, °R)
• add wind units (km/h, mph, kts) and appropriate conversion routines
• remove hardcoded predefined weather suggestions and introduce of a new optional control file for this
• new properties for location date/time added
• add calendar and season properties
• bugfix for danish localization support
• add some missing translations

List of skin related changes:

• add a lot of optional properties
• change button ID for “Refresh” from 4 to 9, add button ID 4 “Browser map”

Now it's again a good time to start regression tests for this feature-complete version, to improve and enhance appropriate skin support and to translate the included final language file.

@Translators: please extract the latest english translation file from the build package. It would be great, if you could support me here in the same way as before. Thank you.

@Holzi, fischy667: the inoffical property "#WorldWeather.RandomBackdrop" is now permanently part of this version, the maximum number can be controlled by the hidden mediaportal.xml entry "<entry name="RandomBackdropMaximum">0</entry>" (section "World Weather"). The number is zero based, by default it has a zero value. Please be aware, that this functionality isn't supported in any way.

I want to publish the official version of the beginning of next year, so there is enough time to prepare translations, skin files and fix not founded bugs. I'm aware about some problems (e.g. from bkv or Cruzer), maybe I found a solution in the next days.

I updated the Swedish translation with the new stuff. I wanted to note though, that the Assumption of Mary hasn't been a holiday in Sweden since 1911 or something. I don't know if you're going to change the functionality for locations where these holidays aren't celebrated or not, just wanted to bring it up.
