XBMC for OSX has no python support at the moment so the python script will not work, but the native version (if you build it yourself with the patch I linked to earlier) works. The native version is slower and the rtsp support in xbmc for osx (and non xbox platforms) is still not great.
Just want to tell you EvilDude that this plugin rocks! Just got my FloppyDTV card and installed everything and it's working great, I really hope you guys will continue working on this plugin to get EPG etc.
I'm fairly new to MP only been using it about a month, n this plugin looks wicked, awsome job on it!
I was wondering where I can download the SVN's for it, I've seen the two downloads earlier on in this thread (like on page 2 i think) but since those people keep talking about the updates for it but I can find these. Are they just those two files earlier on in the thread that keep getting updated or are they in a seperate location?
I know their gonna be somewhere obvisouse but I seem to be having one of those stupid moments where I cant find it anywhere! a piont in the right direction would be greatly appriciated.
I'm trying to run the latest svn build of this plugin on my MediaPortal TV Server 1.0 RC1, but unfortunately it failed to work:
1. There is no way to activate the plugin in the MediaPortal TV Server. (it's not appear in the plugins section)
2. There is an error on the MP logs that says
"Exception while loading IPlugin instances: TVServerXBMC.XmlTvImporter
System.InvalidCastException: Unable to cast object of type 'TVServerXBMC.XmlTvImporter' to type 'TvEngine.ITvServerPlugin'.
at SetupTv.PluginLoader.LoadPlugin(String strFile)
Unable to cast object of type 'TVServerXBMC.XmlTvImporter' to type 'TvEngine.ITvServerPlugin'."
3. I tried to compile it myself and i saw the it created a file named TVServerXBMC.exe, when i ran it , it says:
"is it connected: true, waiting for clients"
I ran XBMC and launch the plugin - it seem that it connect & list the channels correctly, but when i tried to watch a stream it terminated immediately and went back to the channel list.
Put the attatched dll file in your "c:\Porgam Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\Plugins\" directory and delete whatever you've add in it before. This dll is working fine for me.
