Yeah i just wanted to post to say it doesn't work with the latest SVN of TV Server i can add the plugin but i get no option to configure it I'm REALLY looking forward to a new release EvilDude - it's the BOMB if it works
Also in the meanwhile - does anyone know how else i can view rtsp on an xbox?
Firstly, can I thank all those who have contributed to this. Ity's been needed for years. Well done.
Second. I can't get it to work And I know it's going to be something really simple.
I don't use Mediaportal normally, I'm an MCE slave. Althougth if this works out that may change.
I have a Windows Home Server (2003 Server) with a usb dvb-t tuner with bda drivers.
Here's what I've done so far:
1. Installed Mediaportal 2.3.0
2. Installed vc2005 sp1
3. Installed Mediaportal svn 18080 (
4. Installed MySQL 5
5. Installed TV server 18080
6. Copied dll from this thread to plugins directory
7. Scanned for tv channels (finds what I expect)
8. Enabled plugin (not able to configure, but don't expect to)
9. Updated xbmc (12263 T3ch)
10. ftp'd python stuff to /E/apps/XBMC/plugins/video/TVServer Live TV/
11. Edited xbmcplugin_list.py to point to server
12. Added TVServer as a video source
Unfortunatley all I ever get is "Unable to connect to server".
Greetinx from Germany and the german XBMC.DE community...
Yesterday we got a Post with this Thread as topic.... xbmc.de: News
Unfortunately the MP configuration tool broke up when I try to activate the XBMC Plugin in Media Portal... with this message:
It would be the last step for entering the IP Adress for the Xbox in my local network ... without that it's impossible to test :-( :-(
I've done so far:
MP 0.2.3.0 installed
Customizing XBMC Plugin on XBMC
DL the DLL Datei and transferred it to:
Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins\process\TVServerXBMC.dll
Without the TVServerXBMC.dll the plugin configuration runs, with this file in the folder the error message occurs...
Ok, I've got it working. But.... The stream only runs a few seconds, then it stops (sometimes two seconds, sometime ten). After trying a few channels XBMC completely crashes. A hard reboot is the only way to get into XBMC again. This happens every time. I give it a try.
I'm using a build from about a month ago and it works fine.
Being as there are two components to this, the plugin and the script, it could be a problem with either the XBMC revision or the TV Server revision ...
I'm using the latest build (revision 18584). Maybe some logging from the XBOX plugin can help?
I also have the MP TVserver client installed and that's working fine (eventhough somehow the TVserver can't find some channels that must be present).
