Finally my vacation started and I reinstalled vista. Had lots of problems and now mediaportal works. But I couldn't initiate the osd (somebody know if there is a key you need to press, before I just needed to go to the top or bottom of the screen), so I couldn't work on it .

Anyway. Darre, I like the work you did and added it to the release. Except for the basichome, maybe I'll make three different menus (9, 11 and 13 buttonmenus). Also the tvseries needed some editing, The big seasonbox on the left is great, because you rightaway see what series you're watching. But there are some problems with the place of the text and the selectionbar. I'll adjust it in the coming week.

My xml's are a bit messy since I at the start had no clue what I was doing. It slowly got better tho =) What was the problem with tv-series? I only testet it with 'graphical'-'list'-'list' view.. meaning graphical series(banners) view, and list for seasons and episodes.

Great that you are back working on this! It would be great if you could look at the videoOSD and the little frame that videos show in when you exit fullscreen with a video running. Having it show like album art does in my music would be awesome. Was planning on looking into it myself some day but you probably do it better

I didnt really understand your MP problem.. did you solve it?

Hi,
Love this skin and it is coming along nicely.

How would i go about editing the basic home screen to only display the items i want. For example i only use:

TV Series
Videos
Music
Pictures
Weather
Programms
Settings

I have tried removing parts from the basic home xml and that takes out the button i dont want but it leaves a blank space which still seems to be functional.

Any help appreciated, Cheers.

I'm still doing some editing on it.. I've created a videoOSD and redone my videos a bit, both in shares and database view.

I'll post my latest changes later today or tomorrow.

I probably wont be finished with the my videos stuff in a couple of days, I have to fix filmstrip in shares before I can upload it and I don't think I got time to fix it until Friday.

Btw why isnt this skin in the repository?

It's kinda TSMOTW's skin(even if its a port, he did most of the work) so I wont upload it there unless he asks me too (or uses ages to reply to this). I think this skin is so great it should be available to all, not only the few who use the forum.

Ok as I promised here's a little update:

Ive taken screenshots of the screens involved in the changes Ive done. Smallicon and largeicon view is similiar to listview. The zips contains the files needed for videoOSD and the changes I did to my videos. You can use the videoOSD zip without the other one, and the other way around.

I *think* all the needed gfx got included, at least everything worked as far as I could test. If theres any questions Ill try and help you. Remember to delete the cache - or it wont work.


edit: I will edit the filmstrip view in shares to look more like the one in title/genre view when I get the time, but I wanted to post what I had so far today.

I haven't noticed that with firefox at least.. If still use internet explorer I suggest you switch to firefox NOW
