Wrong "button_empty.png"

Since Version 1.4 i notice that i can see the Default Button behind the other Buttons when they are wipping.

So i change the myHome.xml and insert these 2 Images in to the Media Folder of the Xface Skin to fix this.

The Skin Cache Folder has to be deletet.

Hi,

on the Basic Home screen, with Music highlighted, there are three buttons/tabs below - Last.fm, Current Playlist, Radio. I would like to change the 'Last.fm' tab to 'Play CD' so I don't have to delve into the music menu just to hit the 'Play CD' button/tab in there. I've looked at the xml file, played around in the last.fm 'area' of the file - didn't work ;-)
Any help, tips, pointers, clearly detailed instructions would be most appreciated.

Great skin, really much appreciated!!

Only got two questions:
I've installed the TVSeries plugin and looks amazing, only running into 2 minor things.
When i go to TV Series then it displays the series (i'm using text) on the right and little story about the serie on the left, all good, but the banner in the left top is missing the first time i enter (from a fresh start of MP) TVSeries. After i've clicked on 1 of the series and enter the episode-view, the banner gets displayed on the left top, and then when you go back to the main screen of TV Series, the banner is displayed correctly.

Is this a minor bug or am i doing something wrong?

First picture = first time entering TV Series after a fresh start of MP
Second picture = the main screen of TV Series AFTER i clicked on 1 of the series and viewed the episodes.





Anybody else having the same problem or is it just a first-time load problem or something like that?

2nd thing is when i set "Series View Settings" in plug-in control to "Graphical" the border is gone and the banners are being show from the top of the screen, and then crossing the navigation menu.

I installed last SVN yesterday, and also Xface 1.4... My system is configured in spanish... but Month appears in english in upper right corner... It's skin related, or MP itself?

Also, in myfilms plugin, there's no background in general movie list... Once you enter in the details of any movie, it appears.

Edit: Ok. Forget about month. I found strings_es.xml, and March was not translated...

I notice the same issue too when i first start tv series. I think it is due to the fact that my images are stored via network and it takes some time for my remote HD drive to spin up (my unraid server spins all my drives down automatically). since its not an auto refresh, it just displays the next time you exit and come back in.

Not sure if you have same set up as me, but hope this helps.

Here's a screenshot of the problem with the subtitles with Xface 1.4. I can't get to the "Enabled" button with my remote. I've also attached a screenshot of Monochrome: would like to suggest perhaps making the info OSD similar to monochrome, i.e. as a horizontal bar at the bottom of the screen rather than a pop-up in the middle of the screen. Would that be possible for the next version of Xface?

I've noticed that there are a whole load of XML files in the xface directory which I assume allow me to customise xface - but I can't work out where to start.

Yes, the xml files drive the skin. Images used by the skin are in the media subfolder.

Is there any documentation or a FAQ / Sticky that someone could point me to ? I've got experience with Meedio in the past so I just need to be pointed in the right direction and then I can work out the rest myself.

There is documentation in the Wiki (Here) which should get you started. It's a bit out of date, but covers the basics and gives you enough understanding to enable you to start editing the skin files.

How come my tvSeries view looks completely different?

In graphic view the whole upper part of the screen is filled with banners of the series and the description is scrolling on the center of the grey area. There is also a place for a photo in the left bottom corner and it displays the banner of the series which is "selected". However, the banner doesn't quite fit the area there, since it was made for normal photos and not for banners.

Have i missed something? When i'm using the default skin, GUI is the same as yours, but after installing xface it changed into what i described, so i thought everything was okay.

hello, i have a little problem,
if i go into "My Music" then there comes the content of my music folder, there i am able to select a folder and to open it. But then im not able to open a sub-folder, because im "hanging" in the left menu,..

BUT, if i change the view of the folder to another style then im able (with a press on the "right-arrow-button") to select another Folder or File.

Any suggestions ?

I'm running a single seat setup, but it looks to be a bug since i've read that more people are having this issue.

How come my tvSeries view looks completely different?

in MP-TV Series Configuration, tab Display Control , you should change "Series View Settings" from graphical to text.
