Xface Skin Version 1.6 ready for download 09.06.2008 (3 Viewers)

1) when playing music, I notice a typically empty box (just the outline) that pops up randomly and in bursts. Rarely it has things inside of it, and come to find out it is my desktop in the section that is outlined. I wish I could make a screenshot of it, but it is sporadic at best displaying and every time I tried to print screen I didn't get it. When using the Blue skin, it doesn't display, and if I run MediaPortal in windowed mode, it still shows the box over where it says "Music Shares"

2) this might be a general MP question, but underneath the CDs is there a way to remove the folder name? Reason I say that is when it is highlighted, it shows up in the greyish bar at the bottom anyway and they seem to run into each other quite a bit.

Everything about the XFace skin is good except the regular home menu. Harley, can you please get rid of the button pictures and just have the one picture on the right side? Also it would be way clearer if you used the same icons from the basic home menu instead of the pictures. For example the "My Videos" is a picture of a plane on a TV. It just doesn't look right. I have to use the regular home because I use a different program for TV so these changes would make Xface perfect for me.

Have fixed it for next release.
The Problem was the multiimage for Play, i think we must use a static one for it, because the multiimage makes trouble in the overlay.

Yes, the Homescreen will be overworked for that.

I disagree! I prefer to icons in HS. (I rarely/never use BHS. Considered "disabling" it?).

If you like the current pictures thats fine. I personally think they look ridiculous and weird compared to the rest of the skin. All I want is just the name with no button graphic and only the existing hover graphic to the right side. So then I only have to replace one graphic for each thing. For example My Films has a really cool looking picture but the button graphic is still "plugins". Play DVD also currently has a "plugins" picture.

you can do the homescreen in the way you like it:

- Open the skin media folder
- delete all the button_my....png´s
- delete all the buttonNF_my...png´s
- after that copy the two new gfx from the attached file into your mediafolder .
- delete the skincachefolder- start mp

Harley, I like the pictures you use in the home menu, and I want to see them there in the future.

But I want to see more of them, 1 for each living plugin
Perhaps if you can provide us with a .PSD, we can help contribute to this?

yes every plugin should use they own icon.
I need more pictures for it.
So if anyone find nice pictures for all the stuff, would be great if you can add them here.
I need only the pictures, i can make then the buttons for it.
But keep in mind that the pictures have no Copyright.

Would be great to see here, what you found.

If you do a search on deviantart for "media icons" you get tons of stuff.
I dunno about the copyright's, but that info should be on the authors personal deviant page.

Also, crystalxp.net has lots of stuff.
