Xface Skin Version 1.6 ready for download 09.06.2008 (3 Viewers)

I may not understand how stacking works, but I have noticed odd behavior with it. If I have a movie with several files, it will show a Disc for each file, but there is no way to know what the disc is. Also, the dialogFileStacking.xml has one small issue in the Xface version. CD 20 had a value of 109 instead of 119 for the left CD value. Also, for some reason Media Portal is placing the dialog as if it is on a screen that is 1366 wide even though 1280 is specified. Also, the CDs do not seem to center on the screen properly. Both are slightly to the left. I modified the dialogFileStacking.xml file to compensate for this. Also, I have added some functionality to the dialog.dll code so that it will try to show the name of the movie when you select each disc in the file stacking dialog. I am attaching the patched DLL file, pathed dialogFileStackign.xml (bluetwo wide and Xface). and a couple of screenshots.

Anybody else have feedback on this? Is there a label that can go into the XML files for the filename? On the Xface dialog screen, the small cover at the bottom gets blanked out when in stacked dialog mode. Anybody know how to correct this?

I dont belive that is possible as much of the code thats used to make this skin as beautifull as it is was added after 0.2.2.0. For now you will have to go with latest svn's.

Hopefully 0.2.3.0 is coming soon.

(Im not the author but as i knew the answer I thought id lighten his burden a bit )

Sorry, it was late and I thought the source was in the ZIP file. If you look at my original posts about the DVD Profiler import, you will see that I was including my source for that. The post has been edited with the updated ZIP fle with source.

When you say a non-wide version are you referring to editing the "BlueTwo" normal one? If so, I can try to edit its XML file so that it will work. Otherwise, the two skins mentioned are both for 16:9 widescreen format.

I will look into the long filename issue also. Can you tell me how many characters are in the fie name? It seems that it may have somethign to do with the scrolling code. Maybe I can make the box longer or the font smaller so that it will not have to scroll any titles. Let me know your thoughts.

Yes to the first question, i mean the "blueTwo" normal one.
And a Non wide Xface please! (harley said he is goint to release a 4:3 in the near future) so ill be ready.


And for the second here is the name "Silver Surfer #1-01 - The Origin of the Silver Surfer(part 1)" 51 characters.
But i just have 3 files whit long names, so no need to bother! but ill explain how it happen.
When i select the file the name apear correctly, but when begin to move so you can read all, the bug apear.
But is not a big deal, so im cool!

I Love the xface skin but I do have an issue with CD coverart not appearing in "Now Playing". Instead I get a default picture always. This seems to be related to the fact that I use the Foobar plugin for music (with Foobar plugin disabled I get the coverart back!) but I think most if not all other skins display the coverart ok. Has anyone got an idea of what I can do about this?

There in an issue while playing internet mediastreams, e.g mms:// or something else where non VMR9 player is used. If you go to home of mediaportal while such video is played, video box in the left buttom corner gets black and does not show anything. Second thing I noticed is that in My Videos plugin it is not possible to get back to a full screen video using cursor buttons. Works only using mouse.
I don't know wheather it is related to MP as such or to skin, but I have not noticed anything like that in any other skin. Hope to get in fixed.
P.S. MP version - one of the latest SVN.
